AI adoption: training, rules and operation (ACTUS)
From pilot to daily practice. ACTUS covers training, rules, owners and measurement — so that AI is actually used, stays compliant and keeps improving. It is a package of seven building blocks, and every one answers a reason why AI introductions often stall.
The seven building blocks
- 1. Training by role: a basic course for everyone who uses AI, a deeper one for those responsible. Participation is documented.
- 2. An AI policy: what is allowed, which data may go into which tool, who approves, and when AI is marked.
- 3. Owners: one person in-house responsible for AI, and one contact per department.
- 4. Measurement: a figure per application fixed before the start, the starting value measured, and a monthly look.
- 5. Operation and care: the monthly look, adapting the rules, and keeping model changes and costs in view. Bookable for a limited period.
- 6. Communication to the team: what changes for whom, why and from when; an announcement, a round of questions, and a visible contact. Drafts are prepared, and you release them.
- 7. Hand-over: everything documented so that you can continue without us.
Why training and rules belong to the work
Rolling AI out like ordinary software — licences, a mass email, done — is a reason why people do not find the benefit and quietly stop using it. Training by role and a clear policy give people the confidence to use the tools and the boundaries to use them safely.
The EU AI Act asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures to support the AI literacy of their staff. It does not require a specific level for each person. We document the measures you take, which is why participation in the training is recorded. Our guide on Article 4 explains the wording.
Measuring against a starting value
For every application we fix one figure before the start, for example usage rate, time saved or error rate. The starting value is measured beforehand. After the launch we look at the figure every month and report it to you. If the figure does not improve, we say so and decide with you what to change.
Operation for a limited period
Operation and care can be booked, but only for a limited period. There is no open-ended contract. When the operation contract ends, so does the monthly report. The goal of the hand-over is that you can continue without us.
Frequently asked questions
Is training mandatory?
Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires measures to support the AI literacy of your staff, not a certain level per person. See our guide for the wording and the sources.
Do you provide a certificate?
We document who took part and what was covered. We make no promise of a certificate.
Can we book only training?
Yes, in principle. We recommend an assessment first so that training and rules fit your tools and processes.
